Exploring hybrid identity, home and culture. Patterns inspired by Colombian tribes and Andalusian tiles, in the British setting of my house.

An embodiment of my hybrid identity and feelings of home.

Representing Colombia and Spain, I 'recreated' patterns inspired by the Wayuu textiles and Andalusian tiles, whilst taking place in a British setting of south London, my home and family. Some symbolic details are also present such as the indalo (an emblem of my birthplace, Almería), a traditional Paisa balcony souvenir and a mirror's superstitious meanings in Spain.
