COMMUNITY CENTRE

Socialisation & Social Design

I designed a space looking to improve anthropological social issues, where many lie down to primary & secondary socialisation.

The community centre is an indoor third place for people to relax, enjoy themselves and grow as a person, with facilities such as Play Space, kitchen, Workshop Spaces, toilets and Relax space.

It is primarily aimed at young people and children, though open to any individuals who would gain from the space.

I wanted to create a space where young people can hang out, learn and feel positive - as outside your home, there is a lack of public spaces - often reliant on weather, eating, sports or on money.

I kept colour, texture, sustainability & practicality in mind - my key pillars as a designer.
